Job summary

Phasor Engineering Inc in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineering Team Lead to guide our Ontario team and deliver medium and high‑voltage projects across North America. You will combine technical leadership with people leadership, mentor engineers, and shape the growth of our transmission practice.

This role offers the opportunity to lead multifaceted projects, collaborate with clients, and influence engineering standards while travel to sites and Phasor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. licensed in Ontario or eligible.
• Minimum 10 years of transmission line experience in Canada.
• Proven leadership and team development abilities.
• Strong knowledge of CSA, CEC, IEEE, IEC, CIGRE, ANSI, and NEMA standards.
• Proficiency with the PLS software suite.
• Experience preparing proposals, budgets, and schedules.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transmission line engineers and designers.
• Coordinate team resources, workloads, and priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Lead engineering and design of medium and high-voltage projects from design through construction support.
• Oversee capital project development, including feasibility studies, scope, cost estimates.
• Prepare proposals, technical approaches, execution plans, budgets, and resource plans.
• Develop design criteria, material specifications, and construction specifications meeting standards.
• Review, seal, and maintain quality of engineering deliverables.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, utilization, and reporting to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
• Conduct site visits, field reviews, and technical meetings with clients and teams.
