Job summary

Veriforce is seeking a Translation & Localization Specialist in Calgary to support accurate multilingual content across global channels and assets. You will coordinate localization requests, manage vendor workflows, and maintain translation assets while upholding brand quality and usability standards.

The role focuses on strengthening scalable localization practices, preserving terminology and brand voice, and ensuring content meets consistency and quality across languages for our SaaS platform

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in translation coordination or localization project management.
• Practical experience with translation management tools, terminology resources, QA practices, and localization workflows.
• High proficiency in English; French or another major language is an asset (written and spoken).
• Meticulous organizational skills with data formatting and linguistic consistency.
• Strong communication skills to liaise between internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Localization workflow support from intake through delivery.

• Ensure translated assets are ready for CRM/marketing systems and asset handoff.

The Translation & Localization Specialist will support the delivery of accurate, consistent, and culturally appropriate multilingual content across global communication channels, platform assets, and user journeys. This role coordinates localization requests, supports vendor and stakeholder workflows, maintains translation assets and terminology resources, and helps ensure localized content meets brand, quality, and usability standards.

A primary objective for this role is to help strengthen scalable localization practices that improve consistency, efficiency, and quality across languages while protecting the integrity of company terminology, brand voice, and customer-facing content.

What That Means Day-to-day

• Localization Workflow Support
• Localization Coordination: Coordinate multilingual content requests from intake through delivery, ensuring project requirements, timelines, and quality expectations are clearly defined and tracked.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Work with internal teams and external language partners to clarify scope, resolve questions, and support timely completion of localization deliverables.
• Process Consistency: Help maintain consistent localization practices, documentation, and handoff standards across recurring content types and business needs.
• Localization & Vendor Workflow Coordination
• Vendor Intake & Quotes: Assist in managing localization intake requests, confirming scope and deliverables with vendors, and supporting accurate cost and timeline tracking.
• Production Schedules: Monitor multi-language delivery timelines, track translation project status, and ensure deliverables meet target launch dates.
• Workflow Execution: Facilitate the end-to-end submitter-to-vendor process, ensuring all internal teams follow standard intake, review, and deployment workflows.
• Translation Asset & Key Management
• String & Key Handling: Assist in preparing, organizing, and formatting bulk translation keys and string files for platform email assets and CRM communications.
• Asset Readiness: Verify that translated text formatting, placeholders, and variables are preserved prior to integration into CRM/marketing automation systems.
• Terminology & Quality Assurance (QA): Maintain and update centralized glossaries, terminology databases, and lexicons to promote consistency across translated content.
• Linguistic & Technical QA: Perform quality checks on localized content to verify accuracy, formatting, terminology consistency, regional appropriateness, and adherence to brand tone.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Education & Experience: 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in translation coordination, localization project management, or a related field.
• Localization Tools & Practices: Practical experience with translation management tools, terminology resources, quality assurance practices, and localization project workflows.
• Language Proficiency: High proficiency in English; fluency or native‑level knowledge in French or another major language is an asset (written and verbal).
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous organizational skills with a strong focus on data formatting, string management, and linguistic consistency.
• Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills to liaise effectively between internal stakeholders and external translation vendors.
