Job summary

District of West Vancouver is hiring a Transit Service Coordinator I - Scheduler to manage day-to-day driver and bus scheduling for reliable transit service. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced municipal environment.

The successful candidate will have Grade 12 education plus computer and customer service training, with preferred experience in public transit dispatching.

Qualifications

• Understands and interprets departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive working relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Prepares and maintains a variety of departmental reports and records.
• Proficient with MS 365 products including Word and Excel.
• Troubleshoots complex logistical problems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule transit vehicles and operators to ensure effective service delivery.
• Prepare operator sign-ups and reference documents.
• Provide advice and technical support on scheduling systems and related policies.
• Perform other related work as required.
