Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Planner/Scheduler in our Program Management group, with extensive experience developing, managing, and analyzing schedules for large, complex capital programs, preferably within transit, power, water, or wastewater infrastructure.

This role requires 8+ years of planning and scheduling experience, advanced Primavera P6 proficiency, and strong expertise in schedule development, risk analysis, performance reporting, and schedule governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of planning and scheduling experience on major capital infrastructure projects.
• Transit/Transportation experience required.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling.
• Ability to lead scheduling workshops and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead owner for project and program schedules with inputs, reviews, updates, and approvals.
• Develop and oversee complex schedules through planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Lead schedule development in Primavera P6 with activity sequencing and duration development.
• Monitor progress, identify critical path, and manage schedule risks and mitigations.
• Provide schedule leadership to project teams, clients, contractors, and junior schedulers.
• Establish scheduling standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Review and integrate contractor/subconsultant schedules into master schedules.
• Prepare executive-level schedule reports and dashboards.
• Mentor junior/intermediate scheduling professionals.
