Job summary

Alberta Health Services (AHS) seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist I to support the Transfusion Medicine unit at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton. The role involves daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic specimens in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited MLT program and be eligible for CMLTA registration; preferred are 6 months in Transfusion Medicine and experience with Epic and WellSky.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited MLT program.
• Active or eligible for registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
• 6 months experience in Transfusion Medicine preferred.
• Criminal record check/vulnerable sector search required.

Responsibilities

• Process, test, analyze and report diagnostic samples in the lab.
• Perform routine and specialized procedures for specimen processing.
