Job summary

The location is staffed with a strong team of laboratory professionals that offer strong patient focused service to their community. Brooks is located in the Grassland Natural Region of Alberta, home to a number of enticing attractions including the JBS Leisure Centre which houses a curling rink, aquatic center w/ wave pool, a gymnasium, and fitness center, the Duke of Sutherland Park featuring baseball diamonds, a soccer field, playground and 3200 sq ft waterpark. Close proximity to three provincial parks: Dinosaur Provincial Park, Tillebrook Provincial Park and Kinbrook Island Provincial Park.

Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Excellent phlebotomy skills, strong technical skills and adaptability are imperative in this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Connect Care, as well as recent bench experience are assets
