CPKC in Scarborough, Ontario is seeking a Trainmaster to coordinate yard-terminal and road traffic, ensuring safe, cost-effective operations and LOSP/OP execution. You will lead by example, coach Train & Engine staff, and uphold a culture of safety.

This role requires railway conductor experience, supervision in logistics, strong communication, and the ability to respond to incidents. You may operate trains and maintain CROR/GCOR qualifications as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in logistics or operations.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Railway conductor experience preferred; locomotive engineer qualification an asset.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in all weather conditions.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with internal/external partners to improve yard and road fluidity and achieve LOSP/OP.
• Oversee train movements in yard and mainline; supervise personnel and coordinate across departments.
• Be accountable for safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics for the terminal.
• Lead safety compliance and implement corrective actions; participate in safety discussions.
• Conduct investigations and recommend corrective action plans per policies and agreements.
• Manage inventory for terminals; coach and mentor Train & Engine staff; may operate trains.
