As a Training Coordinator at our Edmonton facility, you will be central to building a capable, safe, and high-performing workforce. You’ll leverage your training and development expertise within our dynamic manufacturing team, working collaboratively across departments. Your mission will be to facilitate training needs assessment, conduct competency evaluations, and promote developmental initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver site training programs that enhance operational readiness, close skill gaps, and empower our teams to excel. Collaborating with production, maintenance, and quality leaders, you will drive continuous improvement, embed safety practices, and ensure all team members are equipped to perform at their best.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Assess, Develop, and Implement Training: Work with leaders to identify skill gaps, develop training content and plans, and implement Edmonton’s training and competency frameworks aligned with global standards.
  2. Manage Learning Systems and Compliance: Oversee and optimize the LMS for accurate training records, compliance, and reporting. Conduct audits to evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Communicate and Engage: Share training schedules and progress updates with teams, tailoring communication for maximum engagement.
  4. Promote Safety and Onboarding: Lead safety training initiatives and deliver comprehensive onboarding for new hires.
  5. Collaborate and Enhance: Connect with other training coordinators to exchange ideas and continually improve training programs based on feedback.
  6. Align Training with Job Requirements: Partner with hiring managers to ensure training content and competency levels meet role requirements.
Qualifications:
  1. Educational Background: Degree or background in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organizational Development, or related fields focusing on training.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in training coordination or personnel development, with a focus on assessing and addressing learning needs.
  3. Skills: Adaptability, quick learner, proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of training needs analysis, blended learning, and competency frameworks.
Preferred:
  1. Experience in Manufacturing: Prior training experience in industrial or plant environments.
  2. Proactive Attitude: Ownership mindset with understanding of organizational needs.
  3. QMS Knowledge: Familiarity with Quality Management Systems is a plus.
