Bison Transport Inc is seeking a Licensed Trailer Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the fleet. You will diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe corrective actions, working with the Service Coordinator and mechanics to ensure timely service.

Positional details include permanent full-time status, a Continental days shift, and hours from 06:00 to 18:00. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal required.
• Strong diagnostic and time-management skills.
• Experience with safety inspections is an asset; CVIP ability mandatory.
• Comfort with using computers to enter work orders.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet.
• Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe remedial action.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator, Tractor and Trailer Mechanics to complete tasks.
• Maintain efficient, timely service to minimize downtime.

The Licensed Trailer Technician will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and the other Trailer Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.

Qualifications

• A certified Journeyman Technician or a Red Seal Mechanic
• Demonstrated diagnosing and time- management abilities will be key to your success in this position
• Previous experience and qualification to perform Safety inspections are considered an asset, ability to obtain CVIP is mandatory
• Experience using computers to enter work orders
• May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less

Please note this position is permanent full‑time and subject to a Continental days shift, hours of work are from 06:00-18:00.
