Bison Transport Inc is seeking a Licensed Trailer Technician to join our maintenance team in Canada. You will work with the Service Coordinator and fellow technicians to diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and repair our fleet efficiently.

The role requires a Journeyman Technician or Red Seal, with time-management skills. CVIP eligibility is mandatory, safety inspections are a plus, and work orders are processed via computer systems. This is a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Technician or Red Seal preferred.
• CVIP certification eligibility mandatory.
• Experience with safety inspections is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe remedial action.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet with the Service Coordinator and other technicians.
• Enter and manage work orders using computer systems.

Job description

The Licensed Trailer Technician will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and the other Trailer Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.

Qualifications

A certified Journeyman Technician or a Red Seal Mechanic Demonstrated diagnosing and time‐management abilities will be key to your success in this position Previous experience and qualification to perform Safety inspections are considered an asset, ability to obtain CVIP is mandatory Experience using computers to enter work orders May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less Please note this position is permanent full‐time and subject to a Continental days shift, hours of work are from 06:00-18:00.
