Brantford Police Service is seeking a Traffic Investigator to report to the NCO i/c Traffic Section and lead investigations into fatal and serious injury motor vehicle collisions in Brantford.
The role includes enforcement of the Highway Traffic Act, support for railway incidents, and potential assignments as a STEEP officer. Sworn members will apply professional judgement to protect public safety and human rights.

We invite online applications from our sworn members for a position of one Traffic Officer. Note that traffic officers can be periodically assigned as Selective Traffic Enforcement and Education Program” (S.T.E.E.P) officers.
Report directly to the NCO i/c Traffic Section and investigate fatal and serious injury motor vehicle collisions. Investigate collisions directly involving service vehicles that result in injuries. Investigate personal injury motor vehicle collisions resulting from suspect apprehension pursuits. Investigate or provide technical assistance all railway fatalities.
Traffic investigators will also follow up fail to remain MVC and perform general enforcement of the Highway Traffic Act, which may include assignment as a “Selective Traffic Enforcement and Education Program” (S.T.E.E.P) officer.
