Job summary

Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. in Calgary, AB seeks a Lane Technician / Traffic Control Laborer to assist with setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices at construction sites, ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, follow traffic control plans, communicate hazards to the crew, and perform general labour tasks related to site safety. No prior traffic control experience required; a driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• No prior traffic control experience required.
• Able to perform physical labor.
• Willing to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and overtime where needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and dismantling lane closures, worksite barriers, cones, and signage on roadways.
• Maintain and inspect traffic control devices to ensure safety standards.
• Follow established traffic control plans to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely.
• Communicate hazards or issues on site to crew and supervisors.
• Perform general labour duties related to traffic control and site safety.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, maintaining stamina and vigilance.
• Ability to work safely around traffic and construction equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
