Job summary

ATS Traffic Edmonton is recruiting for Entry level or experienced Traffic Control People (TCPs) for the 2026/2027 season. You will be responsible for implementing protected Work Areas for contractors and the like, within Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

TCPs implement safe lane closures and traffic detours with physical setup and removal of devices such as barricades, pylons, signage and digital messaging boards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in traffic control and lane closures is preferred.
  • Valid Non-GDL Class 5 Driver's License with a clean 3-year driving abstract.
  • Own vehicle to get to and from work; ATS is not on public transit routes.
  • Must pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test (zero tolerance for marijuana, medical or recreational).
  • Ability to pass a Fit Test and lift 50–75 pounds.
  • ACSA TCP Ticket is an asset; ATS covers training and tickets to get you started.

Responsibilities

  • Implement protected Work Areas for contractors and others.
  • Perform safe lane closures and traffic detours with setup and removal of devices.
  • Set up and remove barricades, pylons, signage, and digital messaging boards.
