Job summary

Misericordia Health Centre in Winnipeg is seeking a Maintenance Tradesperson for the Plant Maintenance - MHC team. Under supervision, you will perform construction, alteration, installation, renovation, maintenance, repair and replacement tasks around the MHC complex.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in a health care facility, Grade 12, CPR training per policy. This is a term role (0.50 FTE) with days shift, 7.75 hours per day, in-person work, until end of current collective agreement,

Position Overview

Under the supervision of a Tradesman, performs a variety of job activities in relation to construction, alteration, installation, renovation, maintenance, repair and replacement in and around the MHC complex.

Experience

• Minimum three (3) years working experience in a health care facility preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
