Are you a Data Services Analyst with a proven track record in managing legal data for capital markets?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Trade Operations Analyst-Capital Markets. The position involves providing exceptional service to clientsand internal teams by managing data capture requirements related to legal information for trading products. The candidate will also handle trade exception investigations and maintain legal agreement data across various financial instruments, supporting a complex operating environment in a dynamic corporate setting.

Pay Rate (CAD): $41.28/hr – $49.54/hr

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely data capture for legal terms and documentation between the bank and global counterparties.
• Review legal agreements and codify terms into internal systems.
• Handle workflow, analysis, and exception management for regulatory and trade data, including queries from upstream and downstream teams.
• Maintain and update legal legal agreement records, including netting status and product coverage tables.
• Develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders across departments and regions.
• Collaborate with technology teams to optimize data capture processes and system automation.
• Validate operational readiness and coordinate cutover activities for upcoming projects.
• Provide prompt, accurate responses to data-related inquiries and elevate issues when necessary.
• Ensure error-free data input to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
• Maintain procedural documentation and generate management reports, tracking key performance metrics.
• Assist internal audits with data gathering and control processes.
• Support team training initiatives and coordinate work distribution to meet service standards.

Desired Skill-Set

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data management functions within financial services.
• Strong proficiency in Excel with advanced technical skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Sound understanding of trading business workflows, legal agreements (such as ISDA, CSAs), and transaction lifecycle for capital markets products.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven stakeholder engagement.

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking and trading environments.
• Familiarity with trade agreements like GMRA, MFSTA, or related legal documentation.
• Previous exposure to systems supporting legal and trade data, such as legal coding tools or workflow management platforms.
