Job summary

CN is seeking an Assistant Track Supervisor to lead the operations of an assigned territory, overseeing track inspection and repairs such as rails, ties, switches, and ballasts, while supporting the Track Supervisor.

The role requires strong safety leadership, the ability to manage track gangs, and coordination with unionized crews. Regular travel and adherence to Transport Canada guidelines are essential for reliable service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree may be required or asset depending on role.
• Valid Driver’s Licence required for field work.
• Certification in railroad operating signals is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering operations as outlined in CN’s operating plan.
• Supervise track gangs and oversee safety compliance.
• Ensure track safety and regulatory inspections are conducted.
• Plan, schedule and perform track repairs and maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate findings to management.
