Job summary

CN is seeking an Assistant Track Supervisor to lead track inspection and repair operations across an assigned territory. You will oversee replacing rails, ties, switches, and ballasts while supporting the Track Supervisor daily.

You will manage track crews, ensure safety compliance with regulations, and coordinate with Transportation and Mechanical teams to prevent derailments and disruptions. This role requires strong leadership under variable weather and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Requires safety compliance experience and ability to apply safe work procedures.
• Experience with budget management and cost controls.
• Labour relations experience including interpreting collective agreements and grievances.
• Experience supervising a unionized workforce is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead track operations as outlined in CN’s operating plan and safety standards.
• Supervise track gangs, hi-rail crews, and related activities with clear direction.
• Ensure compliance with Transport Canada guidelines, CN policies and procedures.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff to improve productivity and safety.
