Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Edmonton, Canada seeks a truck driver to support international and local routes. You will drive lightweight and special purpose trucks, ensure cargo security, and maintain vehicle safety while providing reliable service to customers and stakeholders.

The role requires obtaining permits, handling payments, and performing on-road repairs as needed. Training is provided; English is the working language.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Driver's License (Class 3 or D) required.
• Work language is English.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns.
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• Obtain special permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

TASKS

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Pay and receive payments for goods
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
