Job summary

New Way Trucking Ltd. is seeking a truck driver to operate as part of a two-person team on road routes. You will load/unload cargo, ensure cargo safety, and manage required permits for international transport. You’ll regularly inspect the vehicle and keep trip records.

The role involves long hours, on-the-road work, and adherence to hours of service. A valid Class 1 or A license is required; relocation support is offered.

• No prior experience required; will train.
• Permanent full-time position on the road with 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
