Job summary

The Corporation of the Town of Prescott is seeking a part-time Economic Development & Tourism Associate to support planning, coordination, and delivery of initiatives that promote economic activity, tourism, and community engagement.

The role focuses on special events, tourism programs, marketing support, and collaboration with partners to ensure objectives are met. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma/degree in Event Planning/Management, Tourism, Marketing or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in events/tourism is preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate special events including logistics, volunteers, budgets, and compliance with regulations.
• Support economic development and tourism initiatives through marketing, data tools, and visitor services.
• Maintain department tools, inventories, and promotional materials; assist with website and social media updates.
