Job summary

Town of Prescott is seeking an Economic Development & Tourism Associate (part-time) to support events, tourism initiatives, and marketing activities. The role involves coordinating event logistics, volunteers, and promotional materials, with occasional evenings and weekends to align with event schedules.

The position reports to the Manager of Economic Development & Tourism, and requires a post-secondary diploma in a related field, plus 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma/degree in Event Planning/Management, Tourism, Marketing or related field
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital tools for communications and marketing
• Strong written and verbal communication in a community service setting

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and delivery of economic development and tourism initiatives
• Coordinate special events logistics, volunteers, and safety compliance
• Support marketing and promotional activities and visitor information resources
• Maintain department tools, forms, surveys, and visitor tracking
• Provide administrative support and monitor program performance
