Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A for a 12-month contract to partner with business units in Toronto. The role requires residency in Canada and the ability to work in-office two days per week in the Toronto core.

You will own reporting, budgeting and forecasting, deliver monthly P&L, support the 5-year plan, and present insights to leadership. Excellent Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional designation such as CPA/CFA/MBA/MFin is required.
• 2–4 years of progressive FP&A experience.
• Strong Excel modelling and advanced MS Office skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate results clearly.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for executives.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own designated product and business portfolio reporting, performance analysis, and budgeting/forecasting.
• Generate monthly P&L and analyze trends, review budgets vs actuals, and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Present results and KPIs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support 5-year strategic plan with financial forecasts and inputs.
• Develop knowledge of portfolio drivers and model financial returns.
• Collaborate with Product and other functions to prepare business cases.
• Support monthly forecasting and financial outlook with partners.
• Prepare executive and board materials.
• Assist with special projects for Private Equity sponsors.
• Analyze legacy processes to improve efficiency.
