Job summary

John Ross & Sons Ltd. in Atlantic Canada (Halifax area) is seeking a skilled torch cutter/welder for a full-time, permanent role with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule at times.

You will operate torches, manage liquids and regulators, and communicate via radios while maintaining safety and equipment upkeep. The role requires 2+ years of torch cutting or welding experience, a college/technical background, and reliable transportation in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Completion of college or technical training or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in torch cutting or welding
• Safety driven mindset
• Clear communication skills
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Run and clean torches
• Change liquids and adjust regulator
• Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
• Perform minor repairs to equipment
• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to proper manager
• Maintain clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned
