Jobot is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker in Markham, Ontario to support a busy stamping operation. You will maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and improve production tooling to keep dies ready for schedules.

The role requires strong stamping die experience, ability to read drawings with GD&T, and hands-on tooling with heavy lifting. Opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits accompany this hands-on position.

Competenze

• 5+ years of tooling maintenance or Tool & Die experience.
• Experience with metal stamping and stamping dies preferred.
• Ability to operate toolroom machinery and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and die-repair abilities.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support a busy manufacturing and stamping operation. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving production tooling while ensuring dies are ready to meet production schedules.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong stamping die experience who enjoys troubleshooting problems and keeping production equipment running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on stamping dies and production tooling.

• Inspect repaired or machined tooling to verify dimensions, clearances, and alignment.
• Manufacture replacement parts and components as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of tooling maintenance or Tool & Die experience.
• Previous experience with metal stamping and stamping dies strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate toolroom machinery and use precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and die-repair abilities.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Understanding of machining, tolerances, clearances, and tooling fit.
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to production issues.
• Strong safety and quality mindset.
• Ability to perform physical manufacturing work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Preferred

• Licensed Tool & Die Maker / 430A / Red Seal certification.
• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Welding experience.
• Experience with manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and related toolroom equipment.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 manufacturing environments.
