Canadian Executive Search Group (USA) Inc / Division of Arrow Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Tool & Die Maker in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge area. You will build, repair, and maintain tooling and dies to tight tolerances using manual and CNC tools.

The role is permanent, full-time with a four-day workweek (Mon–Thu) and a day/afternoon shift. Compensation is $44/hour, with extended health, dental, life insurance, RRSP/DPSP matching, annual bonus, paid holidays, and

• Certified Tool & Die Maker or Mold Maker credential.
• Minimum 2 years of proven TD/Mold making experience.
• Experience building, maintaining, and repairing tooling and dies.
• Strong grinding, fitting, machining, and precision assembly skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsabilidades

• Build, assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain tooling and dies.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and tooling repairs.
• Manufacture and fit tooling components to tolerances and designs.
• Perform grinding, fitting, polishing, and precision assembly.
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and documentation.
• Diagnose tooling failures and implement repairs.
• Verify dimensional accuracy with precision instruments.
• Maintain tooling maintenance records and repair documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to improve tooling performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain tooling and dies.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and tooling repairs.
• Manufacture and fit tooling components to specified tolerances and design requirements.
• Perform grinding, fitting, spotting, polishing, stoning, and precision assembly.
• Operate manual and CNC machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and assembly documentation.
• Diagnose tooling failures and implement corrective repairs.
• Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain tooling maintenance records and repair documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Certified Tool & Die Maker or Mold Maker.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant, successful experience working as a licensed Tool & Die Maker.
• Experience building, maintaining, and repairing tooling and dies.
• Strong skills in grinding, fitting, machining, and precision assembly.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work with tight tolerances.
• Experience with stamping, toolmaking and/or precision components is an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Reliable work history and commitment to quality and safety.
