Multimatic Inc. in Markham, Ontario is seeking an experienced tool design engineer to join our MAMT engineering development center. You will design tooling, review GD&T specifications, and collaborate with managers and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of complex die and tooling builds.

Qualifications

• Engineering/design background and strong manufacturing experience.
• Excellent knowledge of CAD tools.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Familiar with industry standard Windows applications.
• Able to work independently.
• Knowledge of GD&T and quality system procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interact with managers and project leaders to design tooling that meets GD&T and customer specs.
• Review related supplier/customer tooling riders and die layouts.
• Present strip layouts and die designs for customer approval.
• Maintain/update die build sheets and review logs.
• Create design prints and binders for component drawings.
• Produce and maintain standard materials lists and order logs.
• Support die modifications through build and tryout stages.
• Document and present information from conferences and trainings.
