Electromac Tool, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker in Windsor, Ontario. The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related work experience.
• Trade certification.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Able to work Days/Afternoons rotation and required OT.
• 5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools.
• Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining.
• Fit and assemble or disassemble parts using hand tools and test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation
• Work directly with all manufacturing groups ensuring tooling meets process expectations
• Work directly with tooling suppliers in build to print, or design and build situations to ensure tools meet expectations
• Analyze manufacturing and tooling problems and formulate solutions
• Make repairs and adjustments as needed
• Suggest new methods and processes for quality improvements or cost savings

The pay range for this role is $30.00/hour to $45.00/hour.
