FOUNTAIN TIRE LTD in Winnipeg is seeking an Automotive Tire Technician to install, balance, rotate and repair tires on passenger vehicles and light trucks, while maintaining a clean and safe shop environment.

The role includes TPMS work, equipment maintenance, and potential involvement in specialty tire tasks. Training and advancement opportunities are available, with overtime during busy seasons and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous tire technician experience is a plus, but training is available.
• Must be able to lift 25 kg.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels for passenger vehicles and light trucks.
• Reset and repair TPMS systems.
• Maintain tire service equipment on a schedule.
• Perform specialty tire tasks (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen).
• Assist inventory with documentation and annual counts.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and teammates.

Overview

Fountain Tire Winnipeg Warman Road (140 Warman Rd.), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and provide a satisfactory Driver's Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
