Job summary

Fountain Tire Portage La Prairie, an established automotive repair shop, is seeking a responsible, safe, and dedicated General Labourer to join our team.

You will install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires, maintain TPMS, and assist in inventory while keeping safety a priority during full-time day shifts with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Previous tire service experience is helpful, but training is available.
• Customer-service focus with ability to build relationships with team and customers.
• Attention to detail and safety-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
• Maintain tire service equipment on a regular schedule.
• Complete specialty tire work (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.).
• Assist in inventory management through documentation and annual counts.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and coworkers.

You will be responsible for

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
