Job summary

Kal Tire in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking a Tire Technician to join a hands-on, team-focused shop. You will install, repair, and maintain tires, rotate/service wheels, and help keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes safety, proper PPE use, and attention to detail, with training provided and opportunities to gain automotive industry experience. Expect shifts within store hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous tire technician or automotive experience or training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly and stay active throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

If you enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and working as part of a team, this role is a strong fit.

As a Tire Technician, you’ll support the day-to-day service work in the shop, installing, repairing, and maintaining tires while helping keep operations running smoothly. This is a temporary position with full-time and part-time hours available for the duration of the contract.

You’ll be part of a team that works safely, supports each other, and takes pride in getting the job done right.

Store Details

• Address: 9038 Quartz Rd, Whitehorse, Yukon.
• Hours of Operation:
  • Monday to Friday: 7:30am-6:00pm.
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8:00-5:00pm.
• Multiple Training Dates Starting: September 14, 2026.

Shifts will be scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.
