Job summary

Kal Tire in Fort St. John, BC is seeking a Tire Technician to support daily shop service, installing, repairing, and balancing tires while keeping operations running smoothly.

You will work with a safety-focused team, follow PPE procedures, and handle equipment in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and ability to lift 30–50 lbs are required.

This contract position offers full-time or part-time hours, hands-on training, and a collaborative atmosphere.

Job description

If you enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and working as part of a team, this role is a strong fit.

As a Tire Technician, you’ll support the day-to-day service work in the shop, installing, repairing, and maintaining tires while helping keep operations running smoothly. This is a temporary position with full-time and part-time hours available for the duration of the contract.

You’ll be part of a team that works safely, supports each other, and takes pride in getting the job done right.

Responsibilities:

• Install, remove, rotate, balance, and repair tires.
• Safely operate tire service equipment and tools.
• Inspect tires and vehicles to identify required services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
• Support the team to keep workflow efficient and on schedule.

Requirements:

• Previous tire technician or automotive experience or training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly and stay active throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Team-oriented with a practical, safety-first approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Store Details:

• Address: 10107 116 St Fort St. John, BC.
• Hours of Operation:
  • Monday to Friday: 7:30am-6:00pm.
  • Saturday: 8:00am-5:00pm.
• Multiple Training Dates Starting: September 8, 2026

Shifts will be scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.
