Job summary

The General Helper role at Compass Group Canada (Beaver) Ltd. in Mississauga supports food service operations by preparing, presenting and serving meals and beverages while upholding quality and presentation standards.

You will take guest orders with a friendly, knowledgeable approach, assist in food and beverage preparation, operate basic kitchen equipment and maintain a clean, organized service area. This position emphasizes teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders with hospitality and strong product knowledge.
• Prepare beverages according to standards and mark lids and pots.
• Prepare bagels, wraps, and sandwiches with proper builds.
• Operate ovens and cookers and bake muffins, donuts, breads, eggs, sausages.
• Ensure all showcase specifications are met.
• Clean production and back-of-house areas daily.
• Receive and store inventory during deliveries and restock FOH daily.
• Maintain a clean restaurant interior and dining areas.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and speed of service.
• Address guest concerns promptly and resolve issues.

Job Summary

The General Helper will be responsible for preparing, presenting and serving meals, drinks, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.

How you will Make an Impact:

• Take orders from guests with exceptional hospitality through friendly attitude, attentive behavior and strong product knowledge.
• Prepare different types of beverages according to standards including marking lids and pots.
• Prepare food items such as bagels, wraps, sandwiches following proper builds as well as maintaining food safety standards.
• Operate ovens/egg cookers and prepare baked products as assigned such as muffins, donuts, breads, eggs, sausages, etc.
• Ensure all showcase specifications are met.
• Cleaning of the production area and back of the house area on a daily basis.
• Receive and Store Inventory in BOH during delivery as well as stock up items in FOH daily.
• Maintaining a clean Restaurant interior, exterior, parking lot, dining room and restrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment each shift.
• Maintains Speed of Service by working efficiently with a sense of urgency to fill orders and meet Guests needs.
• Promptly executes service recovery for any Guest concerns or complaints by making it right with the Guest.

• Be able to work under pressure while maintaining food safety standards.
• Have a passion for serving, making food and beverages and good time management.
• Be able to learn how to operate various equipment, carry boxes up to 25lbs, working in cold environment as freezer/ fridge.
• Enjoy working with a successful team in a safe environment.
• Have a strong work ethic, be punctual and responsible.
• Previous experience in guest service field is an asset.

The hourly wage rate for this position is $19.10. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
