Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking friendly baristas to deliver exceptional service at our coffee bar in Toronto. You will greet customers, take orders, make recommendations, and handle cash/credit using the POS system. You’ll operate and maintain espresso machines and grinders, keep the workspace clean, and work with teammates to meet daily targets.

Training provided; this role offers opportunities to grow within a fast-paced food service environment at multiple outlets across the city.

Job description

Customer Service:
Baristas interact directly with customers, take orders accurately, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive experience. They handle cash and credit card transactions using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, and may assist customers with dietary preferences or special requests

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Baristas operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other kitchen equipment. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, checking temperatures of freezers and refrigerators, and ensuring all tools are sanitized and in proper working order.

Workplace Organization:

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential. Baristas clean counters, tables, and utensils, restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and ensure the coffee bar and dining area are tidy

Team Collaboration:
Baristas work closely with other team members to meet daily operational goals, manage high-volume periods, and support a smooth workflow. They may also assist in training new employees and contribute to a positive team environment
