Job summary

Jar Painting and Renovation Inc in Calgary is hiring two Tile Installer(s) to join our growing team. This permanent, full-time position requires clear English communication and hands-on tile installation work across Calgary area locations.

You'll prepare surfaces, mix adhesives, install and align tiles, cut for corners, grout joints, and install strips and mosaics. A high school diploma and at least two years of tiling experience are expected; training is provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces for installation.
• Mix and apply mortar, adhesive and grout as needed.
• Install tiles and align them using levels and straightedges.
• Cut and fit tiles for corners and irregular spaces.
• Grout joints and remove excess grout.
• Install tile strips and mosaic tiles as required.
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.

Jar Painting and Renovation Inc is looking for two (2) Tile Installer(s) to join our growing Calgary area team! This is a permanent full-time position, and you must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Job duties:

-Prepare, measure and mark surface for installation

-Mix and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives — apply said adhesives

-Install tiles by setting them into position and apply installation techniques

-Align and straighten tile using levels, squares and straightedges

-Cut and fit tiles for unique fits such as corners and grades

-Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout

-Install tile strips as required

-Lay and set mosaic tiles for unique settings

-Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces

-Cut, polish and install marble and granite

-Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles

Education requirements:

-High school or equivalent

Experience requirements:

-Minimum two (2) years of experience in tilesetting/ additional training is provided

Wages and hours: $34.76 per hour for 30 – 40 hours per week

Work location: 463 Queenston Heights SE, Calgary, Alberta T2J 6E9 (job sites are throughout the Calgary area)
