Job summary

Prime Tiling is seeking an experienced Tile Installer for full-time, permanent employment in Canada. The ideal candidate will handle diverse projects, including commercial, high-rise and residential, with large-format tiles and meticulous attention to quality.

You must have at least 2 years of Canadian tile-installation experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of continuous professional tile installation experience in Canada.
• Experience with commercial, high-rise, and residential projects.
• Proficient with large-format tiles (e.g., 12"×24", 48"×48", 60"×120").
• Ability to identify largest tile size and thickness installed (e.g., 60×120, 6–12 mm).
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for tile installation.
• Measure, plan and lay out tile installations accurately.
• Install ceramic, porcelain and large-format tiles.
• Cut and fit tiles around corners, fixtures and openings.
• Apply adhesives, membranes, grout and waterproofing systems.
• Ensure proper alignment, spacing, level and finish.
• Complete work according to project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements.
• Work efficiently to meet project schedules and deadlines.

Prime Tiling is looking for an experienced and reliable Tile Installer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

We are looking for skilled professionals with strong hands-on experience in tile installation who take pride in quality workmanship and are interested in long-term employment and professional growth.

Position Details

• Pay: $30–$50 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and skill level
• Work Availability: Consistent, year-round workload

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of continuous professional tile installation experience in Canada
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with different tile installation methods and materials
• Candidates must clearly describe their previous tile installation experience, including the types of projects completed:
• Commercial projects
• High-rise buildings
• Low-rise residential/commercial projects
• Private residential projects
• Experience installing large-format and specialty tiles is strongly preferred
• Candidates should be able to identify the largest tile size and thickness they have successfully installed, for example:
• 12\" × 24\"
• 48\" × 48
• 60\" × 120
• Tile thickness of 6 mm, 12 mm or other
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required
• Ability to safely handle, transport and install large-format tiles
• Willingness to learn new techniques, develop skills and take on more advanced work is considered an asset
