Ironwood Interiors LTD is seeking 2 full-time, permanent Tile Setters for on-site work across the Lower Mainland, with head office in Langley, BC. The role offers a salary of $30.00–$31.00 per hour and requires travel to multiple construction sites.

A candidate with 3 years of tile setting experience and a completed secondary education is ideal. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, laying and finishing tiles, mixing mortars, aligning tiles, and cutting around obstacles.

Qualifications

• 3 years tile setting experience is required.
• Completion of secondary school.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets.
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using a trowel.
• Set tiles in position and apply pressure to affix tiles to base.
• Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares and straightedges.
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
• Pack grout into joints and remove excess grout.
• Install tile strips.
• Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs.
• Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces.
• Cut, polish and install marble and granite.
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• May prepare cost estimates and orders.
• Travel to construction sites across the Lower Mainland and have reliable transport.
• Be available to work on weekends.

2 full-time, permanent Tile Setters are required by Ironwood Interiors LTD, a family-owned construction business operating on site across the Lower Mainland with head office at 17 – 19631 55A Ave, Langley, British Columbia V3A 0L5.

The salary range is $30.00 – $31.00 per hour.

The main duties will be:

• Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered
