Job summary

The Salvation Army International is seeking a Store Associate in Calgary to provide friendly customer service, process transactions, sort donated goods, and assist in merchandising and inventory control at the thrift store.

You will maintain a safe, clean retail space, support sales targets, and help donors with their contributions while following health and safety policies and store procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of some high school coursework or equivalent acceptable experience.
• Cash handling experience and familiarity with cash register operations.
• Ability to work in a computerised environment and follow store policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors in a friendly manner and support sales targets.
• Process transactions accurately with cash and debit and maintain balance.
• Assist with stock sorting, pricing, display setups and inventory control.
• Maintain store safety, cleanliness and adherence to OH&S policies.
• Assist in donation intake, stocking and merchandising on the sales floor.
