Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Thrift Store Clerk to support daily retail operations at the Innisfail Thrift Store. You will engage customers, handle transactions, process donations, and help maintain an inviting store environment.

This is a part-time, temporary role with routine cash handling and a focus on service quality. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory, stocking, and ensuring store safety and cleanliness while providing excellent customer experiences in a faith-based,

Qualifications

Completion of Secondary School.
Minimum of three months of prior related experience.
Cash handling experience is required.
Knowledge and experience using a cash register, debit machine and/or credit card processing is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

Interact with customers/donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner.
Protect the integrity of all donated items.
Responsible for accurate completion of all customer transactions including cash and debit sales.
Contribute to meeting store budgets by maintaining customer service standards.
Opening and closing of store following store procedures when required.
Process raw materials by loading/unloading, sorting, packing, pricing and storing donations.
Respond to customer enquiries by phone/in person.
