Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a part-time Thrift Store Associate to support retail operations. You will handle cash and debit transactions, greet donors and customers, and assist with sorting and stocking donations while upholding safety and store standards.

Weekday and weekend shifts are possible; the role includes responsibilities in merchandising, pricing and assisting with donation turnover. Prior cash handling and customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience required.
• Ability to stand and perform physical tasks up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with cash registers and deposits.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash transactions and greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Assist with sorting, stocking and displaying donations.
• Maintain shop safety and cleanliness in line with OH&S policies.
• Answer inquiries and respond to donor/customer needs professionally.
• Support inventory control and price tagging as directed.
• Contribute to meeting store sales targets with courteous service.
