Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Moncton, NB is seeking a permanent full-time Retail Associate to join our team. You will greet customers, process cash/debit transactions, sort and price donations, and assist with stock and store displays while helping protect merchandise.

You should have some high school, cash handling experience, and strong customer service and communication skills. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 29 lbs; weekday/weekend shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a retail thrift environment.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral).
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers/donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Process cash and debit sales with accuracy and minimal variances.
• Assist with stocking, sorting, pricing, and displaying donations.
• Maintain store cleanliness, security, and safety procedures.
• Support inventory control and assist with donation turnover as directed.
