Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda is seeking an attentive store associate to support daily sales, cashier duties, and inventory accuracy in a busy thrift environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with merchandising, maintaining displays, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Prior related experience is advantageous, and candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced, customer-focused role.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must have completed some High School.
• Prior related experience, including in a warehouse or thrift store setting, is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to meeting store sales budgets by maintaining customer service standards.
• May assist with store layout plans to attract customers including window displays and merchandise displays.
• Replenish inventory levels based on directions.
• Contributes to the control of inventory by retrieving, sorting, and pricing as per directions; protects the store from inventory shrinkage by close visual monitoring.
• Takes responsibility for the accurate financial transactions including credit card, debit, and cash.
• Perform daily cash-outs, including balancing sales and floats.
• Complies with all safety procedures and in/outdoor tidy maintenance guidelines.
• Performs janitorial duties as requested.
