Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Territory Sales Representative in Bonnyville, AB. The role focuses on growing revenue in the local branch by acquiring new rental and sales accounts and nurturing long-term relationships with customers in the construction sector.

You will develop innovative sales strategies, meet personal and team targets, and maintain a robust client database while working both indoors and outdoors as required.

Qualifications

• We require 3–5 years of outside sales experience in construction or equipment rental.
• Valid driver's license and a recent driving abstract are required.
• Strong prospecting, relationship-building and closing skills.

Job Purpose

We are currently looking for Territory Sales Representatives to come and join our team. The successful candidate will come from the construction industry, be a go-getter, uncovering new opportunities for the territory in which to sell while having the ability to develop and nurture business relationships with companies and individuals in their designated territory. The Sales representative’s goal is to maximize revenue for the branch and the company.

What you will do...

• Increase sales and branch revenue

• Establishing new rental and sales accounts through cold calling and personal visits to potential customer sites

• Develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness

• Evaluate customers’ needs and build productive long-lasting relationships

• Meet personal and team sales targets

• Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads

• Attend meetings, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments

• Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience in the construction or equipment rental industry.

• Must have valid class 5 driver’s license.

• A recent driver’s abstract will be required.

• Previous outside sales experience within the construction industry

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, sales or business administration.

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors when required of the job.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks; stretch, turn, twist, and reach overhead; bend, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for extended periods of time.

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

Pay Range: $40,000 per year + uncapped commissions + Company Truck + Benefits
