Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Senior Sales & Operations Coordinator to support Fort Saskatchewan operations. You will coordinate equipment availability, fleet utilization, and inventory accuracy, while ensuring seamless communication among customers, sales, transport providers, and branch teams.

In this role you’ll turn around inquiries quickly, schedule movements, and maintain records using RentalMan and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial services, transportation, logistics, or related industries.
Fleet coordination, dispatching, operations support, equipment scheduling, or inventory management experience.
Experience with RentalMan is a strong asset.
Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is an asset.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinating equipment availability and fleet utilization to support customer rental needs.
Sourcing, transferring, and exchanging equipment with branch personnel and other locations.
Scheduling and tracking equipment movements with Transportation providers and drivers.
Providing accurate equipment availability and operational information for contracts and quotes.
Maintaining equipment inventory records and supporting purchasing and administrative processes.
Responding to customer inquiries via phone and email with excellent service.
Using RentalMan and other systems to manage equipment, customer data, and operations.
Assisting with operational planning to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Building strong relationships with internal teams, customers, vendors, and partners.
Identifying and resolving operational challenges with urgency and professionalism.
Participating in an on-call rotation to support branch operations.

Job Purpose

At Herc Rentals, our success is built on teamwork, customer commitment, and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Sales & Operations Coordinator to join our growing Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta team. This is a key branch position responsible for coordinating equipment availability, logistics, inventory accuracy, and communication between customers, sales representatives, transportation providers, and branch teams.

This role is ideal for an operations-minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, coordinating multiple priorities, and working collaboratively to keep the business moving forward.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm with ability to be on a on call rotation.

What you will do...

Coordinating equipment availability and fleet utilization to support customer rental needs.
Working closely with branch personnel and other Herc Rentals locations to source, transfer, and exchange equipment.
Collaborating with Transportation providers and drivers to schedule and track equipment movements.
Providing accurate equipment availability and operational information to support contract creation and customer quotes.
Maintaining equipment inventory records and supporting purchasing and administrative processes.
Responding to customer inquiries via phone and email while delivering exceptional customer service.
Utilizing RentalMan and other business systems to manage equipment availability, customer information, and operational activities.
Supporting operational planning to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Building strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, vendors, and transportation partners.
Identifying and resolving operational challenges with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
Participating in an on-call rotation to support branch operations and customer requirements as needed.

Requirements

Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial services, transportation, logistics, or a related industry.
Previous experience with fleet coordination, dispatching, operations support, equipment scheduling, or inventory management.
Experience using RentalMan is considered a strong asset.
Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is an asset.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
