Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd seeks a Territory Manager – Mineral Technologies for our Surrey, BC location. The TM will drive sales of Wirtgen Group Aggregate Equipment and related products, cultivating customer relationships and expanding the customer base in the defined area.

The role requires strong sales drive, knowledge of heavy equipment, proactive prospecting, and collaboration with Brandt teams to maximize opportunities and revenue. Travel within the AOR is expected.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and grow sales.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline from prospecting to close.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new accounts and expand relationships within the defined AOR.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and prospects in the Surrey area.
  • Achieve sales targets and grow rental and new equipment revenue.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline with immediate and future opportunities.
  • Promote and sell New & Used Wholegoods and rental options.
  • Stay current on product knowledge and industry trends; represent Brandt at events.

Job description

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Mineral Technology for our Surrey Construction and Forestry location.

The Territory Manager – Mineral Technologies position specializes in the sale of Wirtgen Group Aggregate Equipment and other associated manufacturer's line creating, fostering, and growing of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods. A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used of Wirtgen Group Aggregate Equipment within their designated AOR, be aware and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report back to the Company on activity/transaction details on a day to day basis. The TM will also identify other business opportunities within the AOR that may be served by other areas of Brandt – Parts & Service, Sales of other products represented or manufactured by Brandt (ex: On Highway trucks & trailers, Agricultural equipment, etc).

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation and development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager. These are a must to receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.

  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
