Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Canada is seeking a Territory Manager to grow sales and rental revenue for New and Used Wholegoods within the assigned area. You will identify customer needs, build relationships, and drive opportunities across equipment lines.

You will understand construction and forestry users, promote rental and purchase options, and collaborate with Parts & Service to deliver integrated solutions. Travel within the AOR is required.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment including skid steers, loaders, and other common machines.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • New account creation, develop, and execute territory sales strategies to maximize revenue and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.

Job description

This position is vital in the creation, fostering, and growing of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods. A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used Construction & Forestry equipment, as well as Compact Construction Equipment within their designated AOR, be aware and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report back to the Company on activity/transaction details on a day to day basis. The TM will also identify other business opportunities within the AOR that may be served by other areas of Brandt - Parts & Service, Sales of other products represented or manufactured by Brandt (ex: On Highway trucks & trailers, Agricultural equipment, etc).

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation, develop, and execute territory sales strategies to maximize revenue and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Promote Brandt's compact construction equipment line to existing and potential customers to strengthen brand presence and increase sales.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service, and Finance departments to provide integrated solutions that meet customer needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager. These are a must to receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.
What We Look For
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment, compact construction equipment, including skid steers, track loaders, mini excavators, and wheel loaders.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
