The ideal candidate will be responsible for product sales to a set of customers in the Ottawa region. The Territory Manager position includes:

  • Suggesting new items or line extensions
  • Presenting promotional opportunities and displays
  • Suggesting items for cross merchandising
  • Identifying opportunities to increase sales of current items

This candidate should have the ability to understand customer needs within the given territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete sales calls, merchandise, and explain products to retail locations
  • Present new items, new placements, and promotional opportunities
  • Recommend item replacements for slow or discontinued items and propose items for cross-merchandising
  • Partner with assigned customers on promotional and marketing planning
  • Manage seasonal, holiday, or event displays
  • Stock, merchandise, and maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Prepare and process sales activity reports, credits, and expense reports
  • Audit store shelves to ensure proper signage and displays; write orders for replenishment as needed
  • Maintain positive relationships with store managers and partner to resolve challenges

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years sales experience in the food/beverage or consumer packaged goods industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Business, Sales, or Marketing
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience with online sales portals
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to travel
  • Strong management, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
