Job summary

A leading company in the construction and forestry equipment industry is seeking a dedicated Territory Manager in Barrie. In this role, you will leverage your sales expertise to promote and sell John Deere products while building strong customer relationships. Success in this position is supported by excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt marketing strategies to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Sales industry experience and/or knowledge of heavy equipment.
  • Ability to obtain or have a valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Sell new and used products within the territory.
  • Complete sales documentation accurately and timely.
  • Develop marketing strategies and prepare customer status reports.

Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Territory Manager for our Barrie Construction & Forestry location.

This position specializes in the sale of John Deere construction and forestry equipment, Soil Compactors, and other associated manufacturer's lines.

  • Sell new and used whole goods product within the designated sales territory
  • Complete all sales documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Keep current on product knowledge and equipment
  • Keep current on customers’ business activities and needs
  • Develop marketing and promotion strategies for territory
  • Prepare customer status reports, including but not limited to sales call activity, closing, follow –up, and prospect reports as required

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts

Required Experience

  • Sales industry experience and / or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment considered an asset
  • Must be able to obtain or have a valid passport, and be able to travel internationally
  • A recent driver’s abstract will be required
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts
