Job summary

YVR is seeking a Manager, Airport Terminal Projects in the Engineering Projects department to lead a portfolio of terminal renewal, renovation and expansion projects. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring projects align with strategic plans and customer impact is minimized.

The role is primarily on-site, with occasional night and weekend work and an emphasis on in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

10 years of progressive experience managing building projects.
University degree in engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia or equivalent.
PM certification or related professional designation.
Strong leadership and ability to coach and develop staff.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Energetic, organized, detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to a team of project managers/engineers, including hiring, coaching, motivating and monitoring performance.
Lead a rolling investment program with sound project/program management.
Oversee and provide expertise in the implementation of programs and projects from planning to handover.
Maintain currency in PM and aviation industry best practices.
Contribute to improvement of PM tools and processes within the team.
Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners.
