Job summary

W̱SÁNEĆ School Board is seeking two Term Education Assistants to support teachers and students from Nursery to Grade 12. Positions are unionized and may be reassigned according to needs, with in-person interviews scheduled for late October 2026.

Level 1–3 roles cover a range from general classroom support to intensive assistance for students with serious disabilities, including implementation of individual education plans and speech therapy support as needed.

Qualifications

• EA Level 1 requires Grade 12 dogwood certificate or GED.
• EA Level 2 requires Grade 12 and teaching assistant certificate or diploma plus related experience or equivalent.
• EA Level 3 requires Grade 12 dogwood/ equivalent plus special needs educator certification.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of student needs including special needs.
• Deliver educational and behavioral support to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Assist with individualized education programs and behavioral support strategies.
• Work with teachers to implement learning plans and maintain safety and well-being of students.
