Qualifications

• Must be registered or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments while maintaining patient comfort and smooth workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and aftercare.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
